L.E.A.D: Learn, Engage, Aspire, Do (Level 2: Roots)
A follow up to Level 1, only students in Grade 10-12 who have taken the 8 week level 1 program will be eligible to sign up for Level 2.
L.E.A.D: Community Leadership (Roots) is a unique Squamish leadership experience for Grade 10-12s in Squamish who are ready to expand their leadership skills and how they can make a difference. They build service hours for graduation, develop valuable skills and experience for their resume or scholarships.
In this follow up 6 week program to Level 1, participants continue their work elevating youth voices, working on projects with impact and shadowing/being mentored by engaged adults in the community. Leadership Skills build on Level 1 and group project is more complex, more student led. Students participate in creating a YOUTH EVENT during Youth Week 2026 in Squamish.

Below are things we can cover but- important to note the participants will have a lot of say in which aspects they would most like to dive into so the final session outline will only happen after our intro session 
- Community project of choice- executed during Youth Week 2026
 - Event planning tools and project management
 - Hands-on volunteering as a group (group decision where) 
 - Mentoring and career shadowing
 - Advocacy and Board work

Session dates: 2 program times running in Spring 2026 maximum 12 participants
Tuesdays 4.00-6.30pm: 
March 31st to May 5th 
OR
Thursdays 6.00-8.30pm:
