Founded and facilitated by Christine McLeod, Rising Villages is a Squamish leadership movement that gives youth and young adults the confidence to become impactful leaders in school, business, community and life. Hands-on, engaging certificate experiences to help lead with purpose, creating real impact in their community and beyond.For youth & young adults in Squamish who want to lead with purpose and create real impact in their community and beyond, the L.E.A.D certificates combine leadership skills, community engagement, hands-on volunteerism & event-planning experience for a holistic foray into the world of civic engagement. Participants emerge from the certificate programs with a desire to get involved in their community and tangible stories of impact to share.
For September 2025 we are delighted to launch 4 incredible new youth community leadership experiences to give emerging leaders the tools they need to elevate their voices and have a direct impact in our beautiful community.
L.E.A.D Level 1 (Fall 2025) (8 week Leadership Certificate for Youth Grade 10-12)
L.E.A.D Level 2 (Spring 2026) (6 week Leadership Certificate for Youth Grade 10-12)
L.E.A.D Level 3 (Fall/Winter/Spring) 10 months (Young Adult Leadership Development certificate)
Leadership Style Workshop (75-90 min) In the classroom, for competitive sports & dance, extra-curricular clubs
